Answer the phone

Anyone who knows me, knows that I hate answering my phone. You can ask Mark how our conversations go. He's usually pretty excited and I'm responding with uh huh or okay, to which he responds 'you don't want to be on the phone, do you'. It's a bad habit that I've created. Yesterday, I received two phone calls. One came sometime in the early afternoon. The number was not saved in my phone, but based on the area code, I knew it was Wells Fargo. Just so you know a little history...I have a comment on my record at Wells Fargo that says they are not to talk to me on the phone. This is because our conversations really don't go that well. If I made a list of companies that need to disappear off the face of the planet, Wells Fargo would be a resounding #1. When it came to answering the phone, I hesitated a little bit. I figured that they were calling because I need to make a payment, and so I decided to answer it. Low and behold, it was the only sane employee working there. We have been dealing with this guy for over a year now and he actually knows what he's doing, surprisingly enough. He said he was just calling for a payment to which I told him I completely forgot, because I did until I saw them calling. I now have to call him back today because the money is in Mark's account and he needs to have authorization from Mark. Yesterday, Mark was at work at the time Wells Fargo called.

The next call I received was around 4:30 pm. I was on my way to pick up a baking rack from Mark's mom before I went in to work. This call was from work. Usually when work calls, it's to ask if I can come in early, and if not, then I have no idea why they're calling. I found it strange they would be asking me to come in early considering I was to be at work in 30 minutes. The call ended up being from my HR manager. She wanted to know if I would go into work today. I was supposed to have tennis today, and so I told her that I would think about it and call her sometime today and let her know if I were coming in. Now I have a conundrum because tennis was cancelled but the roads are crappy and I would rather just do nothing all day.  She's not expecting a call until after 2:00 anyway so I guess I still have time to decide.
